Commissioning & Start-Up with API RP 1FSC

This is a 3-day intensive training approved by the American Petroleum Institute (API) covering the important phases of Commissioning to initial project Start-Up of Onshore Process Plants and Offshore Production Facilities. The course of study is aimed to be in alignment with API RP 1FSC Recommended Practice for Facilities Systems Completion Planning and Execution, 1st Edition, published in July 2013.

The overall learning objective is for attendees to become knowledgeable in Systems Completion and familiar with vital strategies for successful Commissioning and Start-Up of projects, on time and safely, embedded within the guidelines of API Recommended Practice, 1 FSC 1st  Edition.

Workshop Trainer:

Workshop Trainer is the founder of Falcon Global and Global Falcon Americas, and driving force behind the creation of the highly successful, world-class Asset Verification Management software solutions branded as Zenator Systems and the legacy product, PathMaker Systems.

Much of his early professional experience was gained internationally in Europe and South East Asia, representing major Operators (Shell, Atlantic Richfield) and Contractors in engineering and project management positions in the execution of large projects. 

 From 1997 to 1999, Workshop Trainer was a consultant to a firm of Norwegian drilling and exploration contractors, leading successful claims and cost recoveries on projects for the conversion of semi-submersible drilling rigs. From 1996 to 1997, he held the position of Business Manager for the eastern region at Brown & Root-AOC in Aberdeen and Gt Yarmouth, then was head hunted to briefly become Managing Director of KYE Ltd, a family-owned, UK-based contracting company.

Workshop Trainer has been a Chartered Engineer and Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST) since 1985. He helped to form the East of England branch in 2001 and served as its first Chairman to 2003, remaining a Committee member until 2013. Workshop Trainer was awarded the President’s Commendation for outstanding contributions to the IMarEST in 2006.

In May 2012, the Gulf Coast branch of IMarEST, centred in Houston, honoured Workshop Trainer by electing him to the position of Chairman of one of the fastest growing, most affluent, dynamic and strategically important branches around the world.

 

Attendees will gain in-depth knowledge in Systems Completion and become familiar with vital strategies for successful Commissioning and Start-Up of projects within the guidelines of API Recommended Practice, 1 FSC 1st Edition.
