LNG Bunkering Operations

Sep 29, 2016 - Sep 30, 2016

LNG Bunkering Operations

This 2-day workshop has been developed to respond to the need for better understanding of the issues involved with bunkering vessels with natural gas. It is intended to provide guidance on the technical and operational challenges of LNG bunkering operations both from the bunker vessel’s perspective (or land-side source) and from the receiving vessel’s perspective. In addition, attendees will learn the technical, operational, practical and safety-related aspect of using LNG as a source of fuel for ships.

Key benefits of attending this workshop:

  • Explore various bunkering options available
  • Understand the key characteristics affecting LNG bunkering
  • Master the recommended process for gaining approval of LNG bunkering projects
  • Learn from examples of proposed and ongoing bunkering projects
  • Discover and find solutions for commercial issues and custody transfer
  • Identify operational and equipment issues for the supplier side
  • Establish operational and equipment issues aboard for the receiving ship
  • Gain insights into current regulations, codes and standards
  • Assess safety and risk management in LNG bunkering

  • Shipowners
  • Port officials
  • Bunker company personnel
  • Senior ship officers on ships planning to use LNG as fuel
  • Officials involved in LNG projects.
