This comprehensive 3-day workshop is designed to provide an understanding of the complexities of bunker claims and dispute resolutions, guiding bunker buyers and sellers safely through the legal pitfalls associated with marine fuels.

It will also introduce bunker sales contracts, charterparty terms and conditions, various methods of dispute resolution and other critical issues to the attendees.

Armed with over 40 years of experience dealing with international and commercial law disputes as a Solicitor, Barrister, Mediator and Arbitrator, Workshop Trainer is known as as a leading expert in the shipping, maritime and commercial law industry with a particular expertise in bunkering. He is currently practising as an independent Mediator, Arbitrator and Barrister specialised in Shipping International Trade, Commercial Disputes, Energy, Offshore and Insurance & Reinsurance.

He is well placed to take on Mediation and Arbitration cases that require a highly skilled and personal approach. Workshop Trainer has the ability to grasp the key issues of a case quickly. His vast experience and the range of Mediation and Arbitration cases that he has been involved with, have given him the tact and robustness that leads to a satisfactory conclusion, enabling all parties to cost-effectively put the case behind them and get on with their business.

Workshop Trainer is a former Council Member for the International Bunker Industry Association and coordinator of its working group on dispute resolution. He is also the Director of the London Shipping Law Centre.

As one of the founding members of CEDR, Workshop Trainer is well-known for Alternate Dispute Resolution principle in resolving cases. He lectures globally and has published numerous articles on the subject of mediation.
